Easy Rest Adjustable Beds Collecting Food and Funds for Food Banks Across the Country
Leading adjustable bed retailer to partner with community food banks to help fight hunger.
Baltimore, Maryland — November 02, 2012. During the month of November, Easy Rest Adjustable Bed Associates across the country will be helping to fill the shelves at area food banks. Employees will be bringing in non-perishable food items or making monetary donations to assist their local food bank in stocking the shelves for the holidays. The public is invited to drop off food at any Easy Rest location.
“It is very important to us to give back to the communities in which we live and work,” said Ann Mowrey, Director of Public Relations for Easy Rest. “In this economy so many people are struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table. Holding a food drive with our associates and encouraging the community at large to join us is the least we can do.”
Each of the four regional Easy Rest offices have chosen a local food bank to support: the Baltimore, Maryland office will be donating food to the Maryland Food Bank; the St. Paul, Minnesota office will be donating food to the Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank; the Bristol, Pennsylvania office will be donating food to the Penndel Food Bank; and the Tampa, Florida office will be donating money for every bed sold to the Metropolitan Ministries Food Bank.
“By the end of November we hope to have collected a significant amount of food and funds to help those in need,” stated Mowrey.
