‘Best Foods For Acid Reflux’: Top Google Food Search

Over the last decade, as smartphones have become an attachment of our hands, consumers have increasingly turned to Google to ask which foods are most nutritious and which are best for health issues, brain, skin, energy and sleep.

Adjustable Bed for Acid Reflux Relief May Help Sufferers

Consumers are using their smartphones to ask all kinds of questions in Google’s search engines and now Google has just released a sweeping 2016 Food Trends report analyzing how and when people are searching for food related answers. The report shows that they are often looking for ways to avoid physical problems from ingesting certain foods. According to Google Trends, the search term “best foods for” has grown 10 times since 2005. The most common affliction consumers are hoping to remedy with food? Acid reflux, which saw a 921% year-over-year increase in the U.S. (with the search term “best foods for”) between 2011 and 2015. That’s an awful lot of people searching for acid reflux relief – but it’s also no surprise as use of prescription medication for heartburn and acid reflux have soared over the same time period.

Why are so many people searching “best foods for acid reflux”? According to Healthline.com, 60% of the adult population in the United States will suffer from an acid reflux event each year and 20 to 30% will have weekly symptoms. And those symptoms can be very painful. There’s a lot of incentive to avoid the pain that comes with eating the wrong foods so education is one key factor in trying to avoid reflux.

Another reason is that many people are looking for holistic relief for acid reflux symptoms. They don’t want to take prescription medication due to the side effects and are looking for all natural ways to treat their symptoms. Other popular search terms on Google relating to acid reflux relief also include “best bed for acid reflux” and “best bed for GERD.”

Many doctors recommend placing your bed on cinder blocks to elevate the torso at nighttime but that can be annoying at best and dangerous at worst. If you are suffering from the painful side effects of nighttime heartburn, gastric reflux or a hiatal hernia an adjustable bed might be just what the doctor ordered to help minimize the effects from those issues while you are sleeping.

An Easy Rest Adjustable Bed makes managing heartburn symptoms easier and safer. A simple touch of a button quietly and effortlessly raises your upper body to a comfortable height which may help alleviate the sudden awakening and rush of pain associated with a bout of acid reflux or heartburn during the night. When you sleep on an Easy Rest Bed you won’t have to worry that you’ll get injured, or that your bed will damage your floor or furniture, if it falls off the blocks.

And, you can get rid of all of those extra pillows you’ve been using to prop yourself up at night and go back to sleeping with just one pillow again.

If you are tired of suffering in pain and having your sleep interrupted by the horrible effects of acid washing up your esophagus in the middle of the night do yourself a favor and click on the orange “Request Information” button in the upper left hand corner of the page to download our free Color Catalog and Better Sleep Guide. Do it now, you’ll be glad you did.
